Exclusive visa category for Australian professionals
The E-3 visa is a specialty occupation visa exclusively for Australian nationals. It is similar to the H-1B but with significant advantages including uncapped annual availability and simpler renewal processes. Absolute IT sponsors qualified Australian professionals for E-3 status.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be a national of Australia
- Must have a legitimate offer of employment in a specialty occupation in the United States
- Must possess the necessary academic or other qualifying credentials for the specialty occupation
- The position must require at minimum a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific field
- A Labor Condition Application (LCA) must be certified by the Department of Labor
Period of Stay

Spouse Information
E-3 dependent spouses (E-3D visa holders) are eligible for employment authorization in the United States. The spouse can apply for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and work for any U.S. employer. This is a significant advantage over the H-4 dependent visa category.
